Shiny New Hall, Shiny New Site

Published: Sep 04 2011 @ 17:22

Around 11 months ago the first ever site for the Shieldhill Youth and Community Hall Project was launched. It was a small and simple site created over a weekend to meet requirements for funding that done nothing more than say “we exist”.

Today marks the launch of a new site bringing with it new features, images and information on the hall which is now officially open for business. The new site, along with our new Facebook page, allows local residents, groups, businesses and stakeholders to be kept up to date on the latest news and events. It is also more interactive, allowing for greater dialogue between those involved in the project and the local community.

The Project, which started as far back as 2007, is progressing slowly with some people and groups determined to block the project. At this time only the first of three phases is complete.

More information on the project can be found here. Those wishing to hire the hall should contact us for more information.
